چکیده
There is a close relationship between intestine and liver, so-called ‘gut liver’ axis, especially in patients suffered from chronic liver diseases with significant degree of fibrosis. Small intestinal bacterial overgrowth disturbance the microbiota composition lead to an increase permeability epithelium, development endotoxinemia, activation pro-inflammatory cytokines and, as consequence, additional damage hepatocytes. Objective. To estimate incidence syndrome (BOS) small adolescents hepatitis C (CHC), identify interaction this cytolytic activity, Materials methods. group 33 aged 12—17 years old CHC. All children underwent hydrogen breath test lactulose. The fibrosis was assessed by results elastography (Fibroscan), activity determined level alanine transaminase serum. Results. frequency BOS 81.8% study group. As result correlation analysis, no found (criterion χ2= 0.914, p > 0.05). Also, there excessive contamination tissue 0.914,p> Conclusion. CHC occurs much more often than adults. However, severity fibrotic changes liver.

Small intestinal bacterial overgrowth syndrome in children
INTRODUCTION Small intestinal bacterial overgrowth syndrome (SIBO) is defined as an increased number of nonpathogenic bacteria over 10(5) organisms in 1 millilitre of small intestine content. The most common predisposing factors include, among others, gut motility disorders and chronic use of proton pump inhibitors. The results of recent studies indicate the importance of SIBO in gastrointestin...

Recent investigations in patients with irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) undergoing a breath test (BT) with lactulose, have shown inconclusive results on a possible association between IBS and a small intestine bacterial overgrowth (SIBO), as well as on the effective prevalence of SIBO in IBS patients, because of different geographic areas involved and different criteria adopted for the BT positiv...
متن کاملTreatment of Bacterial Overgrowth in Patients With Irritable Bowel Syndrome
Background: Rifaximin is an effective treatment of irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) with small intestinal bacterial overgrowth (SIBO), yet long-term management has not been well studied. Patients with functional bowel symptoms were characterized by lactulose breath test (LBT), and a comprehensive approach to long-term SIBO therapy was employed. Methods: On day 0, eligible patients completed a bas...
متن کاملTOPIC HIGHLIGHT Small intestinal bacterial overgrowth syndrome
Human intestinal microbiota create a complex polymicrobial ecology. This is characterised by its high population density, wide diversity and complexity of interaction. Any dysbalance of this complex intestinal microbiome, both qualitative and quantitative, might have serious health consequence for a macro-organism, including small intestinal bacterial overgrowth syndrome (SIBO). SIBO is defined...
متن کاملViral hepatitis C.
Hepatitis C is caused by the hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection. According to World Health Organization data, 3% of the world population (approximately 170 million people) is infected with HCV; in Poland there are over 700,000. Over 70% of those infected manifest no symptoms in the acute phase of the disease, and in about 70-80% the acute phase progresses into a chronic form. Patients with sympt...
